Ubuntu Live USB Boot - Surface Pro 8

  • Make sure Secure Boot is disabled
  • Volume UP + Power on to access Boot Settings
  • Set Secure Boot to 'None'

When installing the OS to a USB stick, make sure it has an EFI partition and put the boot loader there. Surface only supports EFI boot.
